Bournemouth are looking to activate Tyler Adams’ £20 million release clause.

Bournemouth are hoping to sign midfielder Tyler Adams from Championship side Leeds United by activating his £20 million release clause.

The 24-year-old American joined Leeds from German club RB Leipzig for a similar fee last summer.

Adams appeared to be on his way to Chelsea, but the deal fell through earlier this week.

He would be the 11th player to leave the Leeds squad that was relegated from the Premier League last season.

Attacking midfielder Jack Harrison joined Everton on a season-long loan on Monday.

Adams would be Bournemouth’s sixth summer signing.

On Thursday, the Premier League club announced the signings of midfielder Alex Scott from Bristol City and defender Max Aarons from Norwich City.

They were joined by Hamed Traore, Milos Kerkez, Justin Kluivert, and Ionut Popescu.
