IPL 2023: Cameron Green hits a century to help Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad and get into the playoffs.

The Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad and went into the Indian Premier League playoff spots thanks to 100 from Cameron Green off of 47 balls.

Sunrisers had 200 runs and 5 wickets when England’s Harry Brook was out on the first ball of the final over.

Green, who didn’t lose, and Rohit Sharma, who was out after scoring 56 runs in 37 balls, helped Mumbai get to 201-2 and win.

If Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Gujarat Titans in the evening on Sunday, they will pass Mumbai Indians.

The loss took Rajasthan Royals out of the tournament. They needed both Mumbai Indians and RCB to lose for them to have a chance of moving on.

Sunrisers, who came in last place in the IPL, mostly owed their 200 runs to openers Mayank Agarwal and Vivrant Sharma, who put on 140 runs together in 13.5 overs.

Mumbai Indians needed to win to have a chance of getting into the top four play-off spots. They lost Ishan Kishan early on, but Sharma and Green took control of the game for their team.

Green got to 50 in just 20 balls and hit eight sixes and eight fours on his way to his first IPL century.

What are the dates for the IPL play-offs?
The IPL playoffs have four games, with the first one on Tuesday.

So, in Qualifier 1, the Gujarat Titans, who won their group, will play against the Chennai Super Kings. Whoever wins that game will play in the final on May 28.

In the Eliminator on Wednesday, the fourth-placed team, either Mumbai or RCB, will play the Lucknow Super Giants. The losing team will be eliminated.

The loser of Qualifier 1 will play the winner of the Eliminator on Friday for the second spot in the final.
