Manchester United won 3-2. Andre Onana rants at Harry Maguire during Borussia Dortmund’s defeat in Las Vegas.

During Manchester United’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas, new goalkeeper Andre Onana demonstrated that he will add more to Erik ten Hag’s club than just ball-playing ability.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper, who came on at halftime, has a reputation for yelling at teammates.

And he went off on Harry Maguire after a sloppy pass to Christian Eriksen gave Dortmund a chance.

Onana denied Sebastian Haller before sprinting away from his goal to scold Maguire.

The former United captain kept his cool, which was more than colleague defender Brandon Williams could say in a different incident. Williams engaged in a slanging war with Tom Heaton, who started in goal, as United’s three-match trip of the United States came to a conclusion in front of 50,857 fans at Allegiant Stadium.

Williams was guilty for Donyell Malen canceling out Diogo Dalot’s magnificent opening score, but took issue with Heaton blaming him for Dortmund’s second goal, which came only a minute later, when Victor Lindelof threw the ball away.

Heaton appeared to imply that Williams had been too sluggish to exit and had played Malen onside. Williams clearly disagreed, expressing his displeasure in industrial terms.

United equalized through Antony, but another defensive blunder, this time by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, granted Dortmund control close to the penalty area, resulted in Youssoufa Moukoko scoring the winner.

Omari Forson, 18, had a wake-up call that evening. The Londoner had excelled in his fourth pre-season appearance until he got into a head-to-head battle with Karim Adeyemi.

Ten Hag was worried enough about the situation to take the field. As Dortmund continued to niggle at the young player, whose concentration was clearly disrupted, Bruno Fernandes complained to the fourth official.
