Wales coach Warren Gatland believes all players are fit to face Fiji in the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Wales coach Warren Gatland believes all of his players are fit to play in their World Cup opener against Fiji on Sunday in Bordeaux.

The entire 33-man team practiced in the early half of Tuesday’s session.

Dewi Lake, Taulupe Faletau, Ryan Elias, Dafydd Jenkins, and Gareth Anscombe were all ruled out due to injuries.

Gatland will name his team on Friday in Bordeaux, a day after the squad arrives from their base in Versailles.

“Everyone is fit,” Gatland remarked.

“We’ve had a few niggles in the last few weeks.” We had eight or ten guys who did not participate fully in training. Nothing major, just a few hiccups.

“They’ve all been rehabbed and are now fit, which is a good place for us to be.”

During Wales’ three World Cup warm-up games, Lake, Jenkins, and Elias all sustained injuries.

Faletau and Anscombe were unable to participate due to calf and hand injuries, respectively.

Gatland revealed that he has yet to make a judgment on his 23-man team for the match against Fiji.

“What’s really encouraging about this group right now is that there will be a few disappointed players,” Gatland added.

“We have a lot of options.” You desire difficult decisions. You don’t want to be able to swiftly choose between 15 and 23.
