England’s back rower Tom Curry will miss two games following his red card in the Rugby World Cup.

Curry, 25, was subjected to a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday and was deemed ineligible for the Pool C matches against Japan on Sunday and Chile on September 23.

Within the first three minutes, the Sale back row was issued a yellow card for making head-to-head contact in a tackle with Juan Cruz Mallia.

Following a ‘bunker’ evaluation, it was later elevated to a red.
