Khaadem, a long-shot at 80-1, won the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Khaadem, ridden by Jamie Spencer, became the race’s highest-priced winner.

It finished second to Sacred (9-1) and third to 11-4 favorite Highfield Princess.

Frankie Dettori had five races on the final day of his last outing at Royal Ascot but could not add to his lifetime tally of 81 wins at the event.

“It’s been a long journey,” said the 52-year-old, who will retire at the conclusion of the season. It’s been 35 years. I’ve loved every minute of it.

“I didn’t have time to think about it all today because I was so busy.” I was disappointed, but I had a great run at it.

“I felt like I was 16 again when I walked into the weighing room today.” This location has been fortunate for me.

“Perhaps it’s a good thing I didn’t win my last race because I wouldn’t have been able to handle the razzmatazz.”

Despite failing to win on Saturday, Dettori won four races throughout the week, including the Gold Cup on Thursday.

The Italian won his sixth Gold Cup with Courage Mon Ami (15-2). He also won the Queen’s Vase on Wednesday and two more on Friday.

He is the second most successful jockey in Royal Ascot history, after only Lester Piggott, who won 116 races.
