Alfa Romeo retains Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu for the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix.

Bottas, who arrived from Mercedes in 2022, was under contract for next season, but there had been some speculation regarding his teammate’s future.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, the team’s representative, stated that the team has chosen “stability” as they continue their transition into the factory Audi effort by 2026.

After this season, the team’s partnership with Alfa Romeo will come to an end.

They will run next year under a new name, which has yet to be revealed. Although Audi is already a shareholder, the German automaker’s name is not expected to be utilized until the team formally enters Formula One.

“Valtteri and Zhou are known talent and skill drivers who work really well together: they are well-matched and can push each other,” Bravi added.

“Valtteri has taken on a true leadership role within the team, pushing us all to give our all; Zhou has made impressive strides forward in the last two years, and we expect him to continue on this path in 2024.”

Theo Pourchaire, the squad’s reserve driver, will also remain with the team.

“I have a feeling we have an exciting journey ahead of us,” added Bottas, whose contract expires next season. There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes, in [the team’s base in] Hinwil and elsewhere, and now that the lineup for next year is established, we can focus totally on developing, starting this weekend in Singapore.

“Every step forward we take is a step forward for this year and next, so we’re motivated to give it our all every time we’re on the track or at the factory.”
