Eden Hazard’s contract with Real Madrid has been terminated, but Ancelotti expects Benzema to stay.

Eden Hazard will depart Real Madrid on June 30th after reaching an agreement to end his contract early.

Hazard joins for £89 million in 2019 but has only played 54 league games, including six this season.

The 32-year-old was under contract until June 2024, but Real Madrid have “reached an agreement” to terminate the pact.

The club expressed its “affection” for former Chelsea attacker Hazard and wished him “the best of luck for the next stage of his career,” according to a statement.

The Belgian international won the Champions League, a Club World Cup, a European Super Cup, two La Liga crowns, one Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups during his injury-plagued stint in Madrid.

He scored seven goals in 76 games across all competitions, a significant drop from his previous high of 110 in 352 games for Chelsea.

Ancelotti has ‘no doubts’ about Benzema’s future.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team will finish second in La Liga if they beat Athletic Bilbao in their last league game on Sunday. Benzema has scored 18 goals in 23 La Liga appearances this season.

Given their 11-point gap to champions Barcelona, the club may undergo changes this summer.

Karim Benzema was linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia this week, but Ancelotti insists he has “no doubts” the striker will stay.

When asked about his future on Thursday, Benzema, 35, stated “the internet is not reality” after winning 25 championships in 12 seasons with the club.

“Benzema is ready to play tomorrow, he’s recovered nicely, and he has a year left on his contract, so we have no doubts,” Ancelotti stated on Saturday.

“The internet does not represent reality. Benzema is correct. Real Madrid should be the final destination for the club’s legends. This is what both the fans and the club desire. “The club, the fans, and I all believe so.”

However, one player who will not be playing for the Spanish giants next season is Marco Asensio, who is scheduled to leave the club after eight years.

Forward Asensio, 27, posted a farewell video on Twitter and announced that he will leave when his contract expires this summer.

In his stint with the club, he has won three league crowns and three Champions Leagues, scoring 61 goals in 285 games.
