Iran hijab police are accused of putting a girl in a coma.

Activists claim that Iran’s morality police beat a girl for not wearing a headscarf and then shared a photo supposedly showing her in a coma.

On Sunday, Armita Geravand, 16, collapsed after entering a Tehran metro train at Shohada station.

Officials said she passed out and published CCTV footage of her being dragged unconscious from the train.

According to the human rights organization Hengaw, she was subjected to “a severe physical assault” by morality police officials.

It stated that Armita was being treated at Tehran’s Fajr hospital under tight security, and that all members of her family’s phones had been taken.

Authorities temporarily detained a female Sharq newspaper journalist who went to the hospital to report on the issue on Monday.
