England and the Channel Islands brace for disruptions due to Storm Ciarán

In southern England, damaging winds with gusts as high as 95 mph (152 km/h) are expected to batter the Channel Islands.

The Met Office has issued an alert regarding flying debris, building damage, and disruptions to travel.

Additionally, 24 flood warnings have been issued for England.

Less than two weeks have passed since Storm Babet caused devastation throughout the UK.

For wind and rain in southern and eastern England, the Met Office has issued yellow and amber warnings, indicating potential risks to life and property.

Jersey Met has issued a red wind warning, the highest level, for Wednesday night into Thursday. The warning includes storm-force gusts, heavy rainfall, and coastal flooding.
