England cruises to a Euro qualification victory in Malta.

England maintained their unblemished record in Euro 2024 qualifying with a convincing victory in Malta.

Liverpool defender Between an own goal and penalties from Harry Kane and Callum Wilson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who started in central midfield, scored a superb 25-yard strike.

Gareth Southgate’s team easily defeated the 172nd-ranked team in Fifa’s rankings.

On Monday, the Three Lions will face North Macedonia.

With nine points from three games, they are six points clear of Ukraine, North Macedonia, and incumbent champions Italy in their qualification quest to reach Germany next summer.

The three points were secured inside the first 31 minutes at Ta’Qali National Stadium as Ferdinando Apap beat his own goalie before Alexander-Arnold’s superb strike.

Kane made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after being fouled by Matthew Guillaumier just 96 seconds after Alexander-Arnold’s goal. It was his 50th competitive goal for England, and he has now scored in 11 consecutive Euro qualifiers.

Kane was substituted in the second half, giving Wilson the opportunity to score from the spot after his cross was handled by Malta captain Steve Borg and a penalty was granted by VAR.
