Joao Palhinha got hurt in a preseason game between Fulham and Brentford.

The Portuguese player was taken off late in the first half of Sunday’s Premier League Summer Series game in Philadelphia, which Fulham won 3-2 over Brentford.

The 28-year-old player left the field with his arm in a sling that was held up by his shirt.

“Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good,” Silva, the manager of Fulham, said.

“His shoulder is probably out of place. Tomorrow, he will do a scan, and then it will be clearer. Let’s hope it’s not another hurt that will last a long time.”

Silva said on Saturday that other teams were interested in Palhinha. He said that Liverpool and West Ham were rumored to be keeping an eye on the player.

On Sunday, at Lincoln Financial Field, Harry Wilson’s shot from the right side of the penalty area into the top corner gave Fulham the lead.

Yoane Wissa tied the game for Brentford, and then Bryan Mbeumo hit the post from the edge of the box.

Bobby Decordova-Reid scored from the edge of the box to put Fulham back in front, and Carlos Vinicius scored the third goal.

The score was then 3-2 after Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer scored from inside the box.

In their next Summer Series games, Brentford plays Brighton in Atlanta and Fulham plays Aston Villa in Orlando.
