Haaland, who garnered the most public and Premier League panel votes, joined City from Borussia Dortmund last summer and has helped the club win a third consecutive top-flight title.
He has already been nominated men’s footballer of the year by the Football Writers’ Association (FWA).
“It has been an incredible first season in the Premier League, and lifting the trophy in front of our fans at the Etihad last weekend was a very special moment for me,” the Norway international continued.
City will play Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3rd, followed by Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10th.
