After pushing Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to the brink of victory in the US Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from second place.

At the flag, Hamilton trailed Verstappen by just two seconds, but his car was eventually ruled illegal due to excessive wear on the underfloor skid blocks.

Charles Leclerc of Ferrari had the similar outcome after placing sixth.

Lando Norris of McLaren moved up to second, while Carlos Sainz of Ferrari moved up to third following Hamilton’s disqualification.
