Peter Hickman completes a four-timer by winning the Senior race at the Isle of Man TT.

Peter Hickman achieved his second consecutive four-timer and took home the 13th victory of his Isle of Man career by winning a Senior TT that set records.

A new Senior race lap record of 135.507 mph was set by the FHO Racing BMW rider, who grabbed control early on and held onto the lead for all six circuits.

Michael Dunlop finished third, while the 36-year-old’s overall winning margin over Dean Harrison was 19.98 seconds.

Additionally, Dunlop won four races throughout the racing week, giving him a total of 25 wins.

The Northern Irishman had the chance to match his uncle Joey’s record of 26 victories in the Senior on Saturday, but the Ballymoney man must wait another 12 months before attempting to match or surpass that milestone.

Ian Hutchinson continues to hold the 13-year record for being the only rider to ever win five different races in a row.

Hickman finished 39 seconds quicker than the previous race record time, at one hour 42.29 seconds, and won the Senior race for the third time after also winning in 2018 and 2022 as part of his quadruple.

With 13 victories, he surpasses Bruce Anstey on the list of all winners and is only one behind Mike Hailwood in terms of total victories.

Hickman wins the Senior TT with a surprise victory. As it turned out, Michael Dunlop, riding a Hawk Racing Honda, was 3.9 seconds behind the DAO Racing Kawasaki rider after the opening circuit, while Hickman had a lead over Harrison of 6.1 seconds.

The Lincolnshire rider increased his lead over the field to 11.8 seconds by the end of lap two after picking up the pace to lap record levels. However, he lost some time to his closest rival as a result of a delayed pit stop.

Harrison, who had placed third five times this week, maintained his lead above Dunlop as he sought to separate the two top competitors for the first time in TT 2023.

After laps three and four, Hickman’s advantage was 9.9 seconds and 12.3 seconds, respectively. As he crossed the finish line to begin his last lap, Hickman had a larger lead of 15.9 seconds.

The third-place finisher Dunlop turned in his fastest lap of 135.259 on his penultimate circuit, finishing 20 seconds behind Harrison, the winner of the British Superbike class.

“I wasn’t particularly quick, but I managed. I had extra on hand if I truly needed it, but I just completed the necessary tasks. It’s been a fantastic TT,” Hickman remarked.

The guys did a tremendous job attempting to fix the issues we had with the bike, and today it was almost faultless.

Conor Cummins, a rider with Padgett’s Honda, came in fourth, followed by Josh Brookes, an Australian, and James Hillier, a British rider.

Dunlop won the Supersports, a Supertwin, and the Superbike competitions. Hickman’s other victories this week came from a Superstock double and a Supertwins victory.
