Uefa charges West Ham and Fiorentina for events in the Europa Conference League final.

Uefa has penalized West Ham and Fiorentina in connection with incidents during Wednesday’s Europa Conference League final.

Both clubs have been accused with “throwing objects,” with the Hammers being charged with “invasion of the field of play.”

In the first half of the game in Prague, Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi was struck in the head by something thrown from the West Ham end.

The match was won by the Hammers 2-1.

Fiorentina has also been charged with “fireworks lighting.” According to Uefa, the situation will be resolved in due course.

According to police, 23 fans were arrested in Prague. One supported West Ham, while the rest supported Fiorentina.

Fiorentina fans attacked West Ham fans in a bar in central Prague, with 17 of the Italian club’s 22 fans detained.
