West Ham gets a draw against Liverpool thanks to Ueki.

In the Women’s Super League, Riko Ueki scored in extra time to tie the game at home between West Ham and Liverpool and save a point for the Hammers.

Even though the visitors were in control for most of the game, a draw didn’t look likely. West Ham didn’t even make a shot on target until extra time.

The Reds had the better of the first half, and Ceri Holland almost scored just before halftime, but her curling shot hit the crossbar after some nice dancing.

There was more good luck for West Ham when Gemma Bonner headed a corner kick against the goal frame.

Liverpool increased their pressure after their draw with West Ham and the rest of Sunday’s Women’s Super League games. Marie Hobinger scored the game’s first goal by calmly tucking it into the bottom right corner from the edge of the box.

West Ham came back late, though. Izzy Atkinson had a shot saved before Ueki bundled home from close range in the fifth minute of extra time.

Liverpool failed to get back to winning ways after losing the Merseyside match to Everton last weekend.

Liverpool has seven points after four games, while West Ham only has four.
