Wolves hand another loss to wasteful Chelsea.

Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty scored in the second half to secure victory for the hosts, who won consecutive league games against Chelsea for the first time in over 50 years.

On his Premier League debut, substitute Christopher Nkunku headed home in injury time, but it was not enough to save a point for the Blues, who lost their fourth successive away league game for the first time since December 2000.

This was another day when Chelsea’s offensive shortcomings came back to bother them. They have already missed 36 great chances in the league this season, the most of any team.

“We are very disappointed,” Pochettino added, “because I believe we deserve much more.” When you are not clinical enough, this competition will wound you.

“We created opportunities, which is why it is so disappointing.” We gave up after a few turns since it was so difficult.

“We have players who are playing in the league for the first time; they must adapt.” It is about trust and excellence. If we want to win these games, we need to score.”
