At 38, Geraint Thomas hopes to compete in the Tour de France and the Olympics in Paris.

The Welshman will compete in his fifth Games if he succeeds in the latter goal.

In May 2024, Thomas will turn 38. The Tour begins on June 29 and the Olympics are in July and August.

While expressing his “would love” to participate in both, he issued a warning about the Paris Games, saying, “British Cycling is pretty strong these days.”

Thomas competed for Ineos Grenadiers in the Giro D’Italia in 2023. He finished the season at the Vuelta a Espana, missing the Tour de France.

Thomas has excelled on the road as well, winning two gold medals at the Olympics in track and field. His greatest achievement came from winning the 2018 Tour de France.
