After their fishing vessel capsized off the coast of southern Greece, at least 32 migrants dead and more than 100 were rescued.
The boat was supposedly on its way from Libya to Italy.
Strong winds hampered an extended search operation, according to Greece’s coastguard.
According to the report, the boat was seen in international waters late Tuesday by an aircraft from the EU border agency Frontex.
The passengers “refused any assistance,” according to the report, and no one on board was wearing a life jacket.
The boat capsized and sank a few hours later, prompting a search and rescue mission.
