Attacks in Israel and Gaza: Uefa President Aleksander Ceferin expresses ‘deep grief’ at ‘violence’ in Israel.

Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, conducted a series of attacks against the country, killing hundreds and kidnapping up to 150 people.

Ceferin expressed his observations in a letter to the chairman of the Israel Football Association on behalf of the European football community.

The Israeli match versus Kosovo on Sunday has been rescheduled.

The Israeli government will not allow the national squad to travel abroad, and a new date for the match will be announced soon.

In response to Hamas attacks, Israel initiated air raids on Gaza, preventing food, water, gasoline, and medication from entering the region.

“On behalf of Uefa and the European football community, I am writing to express our profound sorrow upon learning about the tragic acts of violence that occurred last week in Israel, resulting in the loss of innocent lives,” the letter read.

“During these trying times, my heart goes out to all the victims and their families.” It is an unbelievable tragedy, and the anguish and sorrow are palpable across the football community.

“We sincerely hope that no one will ever have to go through such anguish again.”
