Bruno Fernandes’ goal for Burnley against Manchester United is reminiscent of Robin van Persie.

It was a goal deserving of winning any football game.

When Jonny Evans had the ball at his feet near the center circle, there did not appear to be any danger, but what came next was a magnificent display of individual genius.

The much-needed victory for Manchester United was ultimately provided by Bruno Fernandes’ magnificent volley into the bottom corner after Evans’ chipped pass slid in underneath Burnley defender Jordan Beyer.

The astonished home fans let out gasps, but the visiting United fans screamed with joy in their section of Turf Moor.

On BBC 5 Live, former Burnley goalkeeper Paul Robinson stated, “We have already witnessed one of the goals of the season there from Bruno Fernandes. You have no idea how difficult it is to use that strategy.

“He strikes it first time on the volley, slamming it past James Trafford. He doesn’t try to take it down or even take a touch.

“A fantastic strike, nothing the Burnley goalkeeper could do with it.”

It was a “brilliant goal,” according to United manager Erik ten Hag, and a “moment of quality from a Premier League player,” according to the opposing manager Vincent Kompany.

Ten Hag’s team has had a difficult start to the year and entered the game after three straight losses in all competitions.

Even if they managed to hold on to the three points against Burnley, it was a laborious performance in which they frequently trailed.

United fans will be salivating until next week’s league and Carabao Cup doubleheader against Crystal Palace thanks to Fernandes’ miraculous goal on the stroke of halftime.

It drew similarities to United’s spectacular strike by Robin van Persie against Aston Villa ten years prior, which sealed their 3-0 victory and 20th and most recent title success.

Rio Ferdinand, a former United defender, praised Bruno’s movement on TNT Sport. He has created a moment there, which is what captains do—they step up in crucial situations when you need something exceptional.

“It’s a wonderful ball, but he still has a lot of work to do. You want it in the bottom corner, so use the right technique to hit it there with enough force and precision to get it past the goalkeeper. He strikes it exactly.

great athletes experience great moments. Such is leadership. There is a pause there.

It was fantastic to witness, ex-Clarets striker Peter Crouch stated on TNT. When I was a young player, I used to go and practice volleys in the yard while constantly watching volleys like that.

Do you recall the Van Persie incident? Although it wasn’t quite on that level, the technique was simply stunning.

“It was fantastic to watch the flight of the ball, there are so many moving parts that can go wrong.”

“Three points are the most crucial thing,”
Except for Sheffield United and Norwich City, Fernandes has now scored or assisted against 22 of the 24 Premier League teams he has faced.

His remarkable goal was his first in the Premier League away from home since January, and in the 18 games in which he has scored outside of Old Trafford, United has not lost.

According to Fernandes, Jonny Evans made a “great pass” for his team. I am confident in his abilities to play the ball in behind with both feet. I was anticipating it.

Burnley provided room in the back, but it was not always easy to obtain it, so we grasped the opportunity when it presented itself.

“We are aware that we have experienced a difficult period, but we were certain that we could recover from it. Even if today’s performance was obviously not the finest, the fact that we still managed to get three points was the most crucial.
