Kylian Mbappe: The Paris Saint-Germain attacker will not train with the first squad due to a contract dispute.

Kylian Mbappe will not train with the Paris Saint-Germain first-team squad as the club ramps up preparations for the start of the Ligue 1 season on Monday.

Mbappe has been in a contract dispute with PSG due to his desire to join Real Madrid.

The club’s all-time leading scorer has refused to sign a one-year contract extension, which expires next summer.

PSG would rather sell the France forward now and collect a transfer fee than let him go for free.

As a result, Mbappe was left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia.

The union has chastised Paris Saint-Germain for leaving Mbappe behind.
He later refused to meet with Al-Hilal agents, who made a world record deal to recruit him to the Saudi Pro League.

PSG begin their French title defense against Lorient at home on Saturday, and Mbappe is expected to train with the ‘loft’ group rather than the ‘A’ training group, which includes players who could make the first squad.

According to PSG sources, their most recent attempt to mediate a solution was to offer Mbappe a guaranteed sale clause in his contract for the end of this season. This offer was turned down.

PSG are believed to be close to concluding a deal for Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos after years of underachievement in the Champions League with their ‘galactico’ style of signing superstar players.

The 22-year-old scored a hat-trick for Portugal in last year’s World Cup in Qatar, and he has piqued the curiosity of a number of big European clubs.

PSG is likely to pay 80 million euros (£69 million) for the attacker.
