Nottingham Forest 0-2 Tottenham: How much pressure is now on Steve Cooper?

Forest’s 2-0 home defeat by Tottenham on Friday was their fifth in six games, and they have now won just one of their last 13 Premier League games.

This run of poor has dropped them to 16th in the table, only five points above the relegation zone, putting manager Cooper under increasing pressure.

Many Forest fans still support him, with the home crowd giving him a standing ovation before the game and shouting his name throughout, but whether owner Evangelos Marinakis feels the same way is unclear.

“It does feel a little unstable, erratic.” “There seems to be this constant desire for change,” observed Gary Neville, a former Manchester United defender, on Sky Sports prior to the game.

“Usually, if the ownership is stable, the club’s performance is stable – and that’s not the case here.”
