David Willey: Michael Vaughan calls England’s treatment of a bowler who is about to retire from international competition “disgraceful.”

Willey, 33, is the only member of the World Cup team without a contract, and his decision comes a week after England announced their new contracts.

He has participated in the last three England games in India and claimed five wickets.

“He’s been England’s best player in the last three games,” Vaughan stated.

“I found it shocking that after 29 contracts were awarded by England, he wasn’t deserving of a one-year contract.

“The way he’s been treated in this World Cup has been disgraceful.”
