The 21-year-old, ranked 81 in the world, easily defeated Cem Ilkel of Turkey, ranked 259, 6-2 6-2.

Italian top seed Lorenzo Musetti was defeated by Draper on Wednesday in the round of 16. Draper won the ATP Challenger Tour event in Bergamo, Italy, last week.

In the final four, he will take on Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff, the third seed.

Draper advanced to his third ATP Tour semi-final of his career after winning his seventh tour-level quarterfinal match.

With a smooth 75-minute victory over wildcard Ilkel, Draper, who had just won his fifth Challenger Tour title in Bergamo, continued his good form and took a step closer to a chance at a first tour-level title.

The British player did not encounter a breaking point as he prepared to compete for his country in the Davis Cup later in November.
