Virat Kohli equals the IPL century record as RCB defeats Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Virat Kohli smashed a century off 62 balls to keep Royal Challengers Bangalore’s chances of reaching the Indian Premier League’s knockout stages alive.

Kohli’s sixth IPL century, equaled only by Chris Gayle, ensured RCB chased down 187 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had already been eliminated.

Together with Faf du Plessis, he put up 172 for the first wicket.

On Sunday, RCB will play their final group-stage match against Gujarat.

Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and Rajasthan Royals are also in contention to place in the top four.

Sunrisers had scored 186-5, led by Heinrich Klaasen’s 104 off 51 balls, which included six sixes.

Harry Brook of England added an unbeaten 27 from 19 balls.

RCB openers Kohli and Du Plessis, on the other hand, carried the game away with a scorching display of boundary hitting, and despite both falling before the chase was completed, the visitors prevailed with four balls to spare.
