Declan Rice: The Arsenal defender did not sustain any major injuries during the match against Tottenham.

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice did not sustain a significant back injury during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham, according to tests.

The England international was replaced at halftime after starting every league game this season.

After the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated that Rice was experiencing “discomfort in his back” and hoped it was not a long-term issue.

Rice, a £100 million summer addition, was not anticipated to be in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup squad for Wednesday’s game against Brentford.

However, the 24-year-old might be in contention for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Bournemouth.

Arsenal currently sits fifth in the Premier League, four points behind league leaders Manchester City.
