The International Energy Agency’s head, Dr Fatih Birol, was speaking as the IEA released a new report on the future of fossil fuels.

According to him, the industry must choose between contributing to the climate catastrophe and “becoming part of the solution.”

Last year, fossil fuel firms accounted for only 1% of worldwide renewable energy investment.
